That's a pit bull cross. Nothing sweet about them.

I think she looks like a boxer cross (maybe with pit). And I bet she is sweet!
is she tagged? Does she look homeless or just lost? But the biggest question of all is, will she "go" on deck?

While I am aware that Pitt bulls do not have a good reputation, and I am personally not a fan, in order to progress your argument you will have to cite facts. Where, when etc. Otherwise the argument is meaningless and rather besides the point of TooCoys post.

Gees y'all. She's a Boston terrier. A very sweet, very old Boston terrier. She lives, very well I might add, either owner on an Oceanis platinum.

Re: I found her on my rounds.

We had a real pit bull for a few years, He was honestly one of the nicest dogs we have ever had, great around my Grandkids.
Now I would tell you that the statistics do support that they can be for lack of a better term Man killers, but seemingly not all are.
Years ago I had a Doberman, he was a huge Doby, over 90 lbs and was the gentlest thing, didn't have a mean bone in his body. He was stolen but I later recovered him. It was a long time before that dog wasn't terrified of his own shadow, people that stole him wanted him to be mean, to look at him, he was terrifying and they set out to make him mean and started beating him and tieing him up etc.

I have to think that a lot of Pit Bull owners want a mean, scary dog and set out to make them that way, and succeed. Dogs probably more than any other animal will strive to please their owner.

Our Pit, we inherited, he was down at the road honestly guarding the trash can, My Son came back scared of him and I tried my best to scare him off. I even shot at him with a high powered rifle, he wouldn't leave so we ended up adopting him.
I gave him away as we will moving aboard soon. New owner got him for his young Son and I hear that they are inseparable.

Great little boston terrier! she does look like a good spirit. I'm not sure how even the most paranoid could see pit bull there? I've owned a pit, awesome dog, kind and gentle everyday of his life, but he was a pit bull so I never took chances with him around kids or very many adults. Only adults he liked and had known awhile. Plain fact is the breed statistically prove's to be very dangerous.

Sorry about that. I didn't realize dogs were on par with religion and politics these days. I'll try to stick to boats!

Its a beautiful dog. Many of us appreciate animals for what they are.

Never met a dog that did not have a least one redeeming quality.......can't say that about every human I have come across.

Re: I found her on my rounds.

Can we discuss the Oceanis 37 Platinum edition she lives on? We have two of them in the marina. They are very sharp looking!
