Re: How Would You Describe Your Boat?

When I'm singlehanding with full main and chute and the wind's up, I sometimes want to change the name of my boat from Flexible Flyer to "Giggle Switch".

Urban Dictionary: giggle switch

Reading all this "boat love" is fun. Thanks to the OP for starting this thread.

Also, I'd say, "Full of potential."

Re: How Would You Describe Your Boat?

My first boat came with the name "Magic Twanger." OK, who here knows what that refers to???
No fair googling it!

Oh, and I changed the name not long after getting the boat... I think the boat was grateful.

Often when my wife and I are in the dinghy approaching from the stern we will say "Gee she's got a nice bum."

A cartoon from the early 60's had a frog character named " Froggy " when he got in trouble his co-characters would exclaim," Froggy, twang your magic twanger !", it would change their reality to A-OK...... Magic Twanger to me represents an escape from trouble to a better reality.

Re: How Would You Describe Your Boat?

I originally wanted to name the boat "Wide Load", because of its beam, and make the name graphic like the signs you see on trucks carry wide loads, but the late wife wouldnt go for it.
