If you have to ask, you can't afford one.

I'm not replying to this thread.
There might be a real ding-a-ling on this forum who thinks I am cute.
But I would add extra beer into the budget. Not for her to drink but to relieve the suffering

Re: How much does a woman cost to run?
Spreadsheet is very simple
Take all you earn, multiply by .2, then square the result and divide by 1000.
That's the basic cost before repair and upgrades.

All the money you have plus 10%..
Actually, my wife saves me money by making me think, do I NEED this or do I WANT it??

Re: How much does a woman cost to run?
Triple your cost is a good starting point. She'll eat about the same, but require more in personal care items. One upside is she'll require you to up your standard of living, I.E. no more dried noodles and canned beans for months at a time.

Similar to a boat in that when they're new not a lot of maintenance, but as they get older, they cost a lot more, and when you get rid of them you lose quite a bit. Difference being that a woman cost much more in the long run.

Re: How much does a woman cost to run?
A "senior" friend told me that as a young man, he loved younger women and older boats--and they both cost him a lot. Now he has an older women and a younger boat, and life is good.

All I know is that the cost of bikinis is inversely related to the size. Yikes--$60 (or more) for less material than a handkerchief. No wonder nude beaches are getting popular.

Re: How much does a woman cost to run?
Well, consider what you'd like to be doing first.
Like on a boat, if you just want to take a little trip around the island, it's much easier to charter a boat whenever you need one than to purchase it. Someone else has to deal with the day to day maintenance.
If it's the pride of ownership you find fulfilling, expect it to be expensive. And the fun little rides around the bay might be limited due to maintenance cycles....

Re: How much does a woman cost to run?
you cannot have a wife and a boat. they are both high maintenance and both can leave you underwater.
