Re: Heck Yeah, I Singlehanded!
And yes, my WirieAP is allowing me to steal some hotel's wifi. Which for the amount of hell they cause with their jet ski'ing clients zipping about, I have a clear conscious.

Re: Heck Yeah, I Singlehanded!
Good going RH. The S of C won't offer a break from the heat. 1/2 way up is my favorite spot, Sanispac just south of Muluge.

Even like halfway up on the peninsula? Turtle Bay and Mag Bay were warm but they weren't like this kind of heat. I judge heat by the coconut oil we use in the galley. It hasn't been solid in quite some time

Re: Heck Yeah, I Singlehanded!
Nice job reb. Any good dreams out there offshore? Or are you waking at anchor now, and going to check you're still on course, etc? When I finally sleep deeply after dropping the hook, I'll sometimes wake disoriented and wonder why the hell I'm so out of it, and if everything is going well with the boat. Sometimes I do it back home, and my wife reminds me I'm not at sea.
Have a safe passage-

Great north traveling weather for the next several days. Good for me heading to Cabo from PV. Bad for you with little wind. Maybe see each other. I leave Marina Vallarta maybe on Tuesday. Wed latest.

Re: Heck Yeah, I Singlehanded!
I'm really glad to hear tat you're making it! We're right behind you. Turtle bay today waiting out this big swell and we'll leave for Mag bay on Monday. Big drama leaving the marina, I'll tell you about it later.
Best.

Re: Heck Yeah, I Singlehanded!
Be sure to catch Love Beach before you leave Cabo. It fronts the Pacific on its west side and the bay you are anchored in on its east side.

You'll get a slight respite from the heat up around the Midriff islands. Some cruisers go up to LA Bay in the summer because there's less chance of catching a chubasco.

Re: Heck Yeah, I Singlehanded!
Congratulations Eric! Nice cruise you are having and I'm enjoying reading about it. Though be careful in the Sea of Cortez. My gal and I were on a small cruise ship there around Thanksgiving a number of years ago. The days were lovely but, I recall that on some nights the winds were just howling! Just be ready if things pipe up suddenly. A co-worker had the similar experience while cruising the area too a few years ago. Have a safe voyage!

Re: Heck Yeah, I Singlehanded!
Single-handling on a day trip is no big deal (done it a number of times, both sail and power boats). Overnights could be something else (never done it).
