Keep on posting Don, I need the inspiration! Sometimes when I am sweating up a storm, while working on my boat, I need to see an ending someday...right now this is where I am at. I have a long way to go, but making small steps almost every day.

Hang in there, and if you can find someone else with a C50 who you can get a ride with, just to remind you what a great craft you will have when you are done. It also really helps to sail SOMETHING while you are working on your own. Once you get that boat out and galloping you'll know why you did it! And you do have one that can really gallop! Keep those photos coming!

I have a '74 Pearson 35 here in Costa Rica. I am thinking of sailing from here to Ecuador, F.Polynesia and maybe to Hawaii. I may sell the boat there in Hawaii. Is there a decent demand for boats like this in Hawaii. I get information that cruising Hawaii is difficult due to all the restrictions. What is the reality? Thanks for any info you care to share!

Not listed among the above but a classic to me, nevertheless. Recently aquired and sitting up on hard standing, dated but sound. I would really appreciate any maker's manuals/specs and layout details (or where to get a grip of same) regarding my '79 Colvic-Watson 25'6" Motorsailer. Many thanks. Cocklebosun. East Coast. UK.

I just thought I'd throw in an update. I finished stripping off the old non-skid, which was around 200 Sq. Ft., and I am about to start the arduous task of sanding down to as close to fair as I can before I start the filling and fairing epoxy work. I used a Fein Multi-master with a smooth blade to remove the treadmaster, it worked really well. Using a heat gun just took forever to work, and well, it made the closed in area quite hot.

I do still need to finish stripping off all of the deck hardware, which I will start this coming week as well.
