Wifey B: A good gift for a female sailor?

A male sailor or a female sailor if she prefers.

Re: Good gift for a female sailor?

If sailing is serious, get her Musto MPX dropseat salopettes. Bigger bucks but great quality and being dry and comfortable beats anything else you can offer to a sailing she. They last several years. Great value.

Cheers,
b.

I love my Seaspecs sailing sunglasses. Got 3 pairs in different degrees of tint, including clear (great for cold winter days). 3 pairs costs $100.

Re: Good gift for a female sailor?

I would not give her anything boat related or what a guy would consider "practical".. Whatever it is, make it feminine.. flk k

Re: Good gift for a female sailor?

I bought my wife a Wonder Wash for our anniversary one year....
But come to think about that again now....I can't recommend it....

Ah...but this is a GEM
My wife cracks up and smiles while listening to this CD all the time.

Paperwhite Kindle, gift cert to Amazon, try LogoUp.com or Zazzle.com for ALL kinds of clothing and household goods that they put your logo on, love my polarized, dark, Maui Jim sunglasses, PLB, Ugowear.com for a waterproof phone/valuables bag, look on BoatGalley.com for great ideas, in the galley and just great boat stuff, Aquabot water bottle, depending on your cruising area, smartwool tops or bottoms, Keen sandals, shoes, Gill sailing gloves, a good Turkish Towel, bluetooth earbuds, (listening to music)..... if she joins Facebook Women Who Sail, she will have loads more ideas for you.

And here I thought my suggestion of a Diva Cup with a lanyard was flippant.

Every day afloat is a day at the spa.
Manicure treatment in the Bilge Water fishing out tools and things dropped.
Pedicure while taking a shower and the sump pump drain clogs with hair.
Facial from the salt water spray....

Kinda reminds me of a saying I heard once.
"don't pee on me and tell me it's raining"

Re: Good gift for a female sailor?

If she reads a variety of magazines, get her a subscription to texture. $100 for a year, has a lot of different mags online, and you can download to read when away from internet

Re: Good gift for a female sailor?

if you are spending nights on the boat- a headlamp is really nice to have. Get one with the red led as well as the white to protect night vision. Lets you see while keeping both hands free.

How about a good pair of binocular so she can check out the other sailing hunks? Seems like my wife uses the optics for that more than identifying markers. Warning: don't you use it to check out the young women on other boats/beaches- for some reason it just isn't appreciated.
