Gib Sea Mainsheet

Hi

I have recently purchased a GibSea 33 which I am very happy with apart for a few things.
The main thing I would like to change is the lack of main sheet traveler. I wonder if anybody has ever converted a 33 to do away with the 2 fixed blocks on the coach roof and mounted a traveler?
I don't see this as a huge job except the traveler rail will only be fixed at the ends and I worry that it will flex.

Any advice will be very welcome.

Re: Gib Sea Mainsheet

The old C&C 34's are set up with coach roof mounted travellers. The track is mounted within a U shaped aluminum channel to give it strength, likely many boats are set up this way.

Welcome to CruisersForum, Duval01.
I have found a picture of a Gib Sea 33 with a coach roof traveller:

Thanks Hydra this has spured me on to buy a Barton Traveler kit and make some risers as in the picture.
