I am à new member and have some difficulties with Enkes winches.
I have orderd part to my winches and prepayd the parts for à months ago.
Enkes says that they will send the package and the tracing number.
But nothing has happend yet.
The man I have mailed to is Ronald Pronk.

Hi Michael,
The same happened to me in early April. While ordering the needed parts he seemed quite helpful and responsive. But after I had transferred the money and started asking about tracking number or company for the shipment I had no answers. I have been trying to contact Mr. Pronk several times via phone or email. But no further response, no shipment of the ordered parts and also no money back. Therefore I started an internet search on Roland Pronk and came across this cruisersforum and I realized that I am not the only victim.
This seems to be some sort of fraude and I will file a complaint at the local police station and inform fraudehelpdesk.hl and ask the European Consumer Center Germany (because I am German) what I can do to get either my money back or the ordered (and paid) parts.
Any information about your (or others) experience to get a hold of this individual would be much appreciated. I can not believe any longer, that all this is just unlucky coincidence or a Computer braked will or a long holiday on Mr. Pronk's side. It rather looks like a criminal business model to me and will be more than happy if I am wrong.
It is so sad, because the good old Enkes winches are so good and durable and it was such a good company.
Best regards,
Schmietlin.

Thumbs up Re: Enkes winches

Hi Michael,
Thank 4 quick reply. Maybe your Dutch friends can tell Mr. Pronk that he better be cooperative also with me because otherwise I will make sure that his joy of having sacked my money will not last long. I will make sure through my lawyer and ECC that he will get into at lot of trouble.
But rather than my money back I would like to get the ordered parts because I like my Enkes winches a lot and want to keep them in good shape.
Please keep me updated on how things turned out with Mr. Pronk....
Aloha, Claus.

Re: Enkes winches

I’m looking at 2 sailboats both have Enkes winches. Never heard of them before.

Is this outfit even in business anymore? Could find no web site.

Re: Enkes winches

Hi hpeer,
Unfortunately the company Enkes Marine Parts is out of business for some years now. Any some months ago also the old website was deleted.
Their winches had been of very durable quality. On my 30 year old boat the moving parts inside the winches are all still in very good condition.
But the man who has continued to supply spare parts in the name of Enkes seems to be unreliable or even unserious as you can read in the threads here about Roland Pronk and Enkes. I have filed a report at the police because he took my money but never sent the ordered parts.

All the best,
Schmietlin.
