Congratulations! Justice at last-mostly. They should have had to pay up in full plus the added expenses accrued from screwing you over. I know if I ever see them in an anchorage I'll give them an earful.

Now they'll only get 20% of the Karma they have coming to them...

Not many in the boating community will be prone to dealing with those waste of human skin they proved to be.

Re: Don't Pay The Ferryman ...

Congrats Boatman! A negotiated settlement and the lawyer pro-bono is a very acceptable resolution IMHO, and worth it to be able to put the fiasco behind you. I love that your troubles brought out the best in so many of the CF members who offered kind words and financial support even, that was truly a nice spin on an otherwise crap situation. Wishing you all the best in 2013!

Re: Don't Pay The Ferryman ...

G'Day Boats,

Well done to you and all of the CFers who gave aid to a fellow in need.

As for the owners, may the bluebird of happiness crap on their Christmas pudding...

Still hoping that our wakes cross one day and that you get some better deliveries in '13.

Cheers,

Jim

Re: Don't Pay The Ferryman ...

The purpose of the coin under the mast is to pay the ferryman on the river Sytx.

Re: Don't Pay The Ferryman ...

I think I might send Cocks Macnish a Christmas card thanking them for their pro bono defense of one of our own. Just to let them know their good deed was noticed and appreciated by many.

I can't imagine being in the situation Boatman found himself in, and it's pretty amazing that these legal guns rode to the rescue.
