Clear Laminate Sheet over Wooden Deck?

Hi

My deck leaks, it has been suggested to ply over the whole thing as caulking doesnt seem to work 100% (boat is lived on so does need to be completely leak free).

Ideally want to keep the deck beams visable, have been told about some kind of clear laminate sheet that gets glued over the deck, has anyone tried this?

If your decks leak you have two choices. Pull up all the teak, fix the leaks, you have more than you think, replace all the damages core material that is saturated in the decks and put the teak back down. Or remove the teak, repair and fiberglass the decks in place of the teak. Nothing else is going to fix the problem. What you propose is going to make it worse, and devalue the boat considerably. If your going to go to this kind of time and expense, do it right. Chuck
