SDB, I've no idea what you're babbling about. Regardless, please donate like there's no tomorrow. The world will be a better place because of it. Also, there are many FREE books online. I provided one link, yet there are many others.

If you don't like Hinckley yachts, then don't buy a Hinckley yacht. Problem solved.
You do understand how much they cost, correct? Maybe someone will donate you a Hinckley, should you secretly covet them.

Oh, and for clarification, I'm 55 years old. Anything else you're wondering about?

Have a nice day.

I can't be exactly sure either, of course, except I wouldn't call Sandibar's or anyone else's comments "babbling." Who knows, but maybe because it's just not "classy" nor "cool" perhaps? I'd hazard a guess, though, that the comments might have something to do with your starting a thread about long-distance cruising & outfitting of a highly sought after and interesting classic boat (at least to me), eliciting an impressive amount of sage advice from Jon E. and other experienced & educated sailors, and then becoming snarky and at times hostile when that advice didn't gybe with your rather unrealistic if not illusory hopes & expectations. I mean, c'mon, all of that advice & those many recommendations were, after all, FREE, i.e. just the way you like it.

If you don't like Hinckley yachts, then don't buy a Hinckley yacht. Problem solved.

If you don't like videos with donate buttons then don't watch videos with donate buttons. Problem solved.

Well, since you asked . . . I can sorta, kinda, maybe see not quite being able to get over the 60's yet, but do you think it's time -- at 55 years old -- to perhaps start trying to get over yourself?
Oh, and finally, what about your previous post where you promised not to post in this thread anymore?? And after you garnered all sorts of credibility by stating that you never donate to anyone but yourself. I mean, who can argue with that one? Please try and redeem yourself by keeping your promises, Clyde. I'm not buying this "coming out of retirement" business.

I dont recall making any promises, thus no feelings of remorse.

Question. When will you be coming out of exile?
Regardless, you're in good company:

Napoleon (exiled to Saint Helena: cool place!)
Ferdinand Marcos (exiled to Hawaii: cool place!)
Albert Fujimori (exiled to Japan: cool place!)
Jean-Claude Duvalier (exiled to France: cool food!)

Nicholas II (exiled to Siberia: COLD place!)

So, where you at, bubba?

How dare you call me young . . . I'm almost 54 for cryin' out loud!

Now wait a minute. If you're 55, that means you were born in 1959-60, which means you were only 10-11 years old by the end of your ever-so-vaunted 60's era. Are you sure you weren't living this era . . . let's see . . . what's the word . . . oh, I know . . . VICARIOUSLY through an older sibling or something??

HINT: Rather than think of the little whistling icons as expressing "happy," just think "WTF" every time you see me use one. Try it, it really works.

Glad you asked. 'Exiled' outta my wacky family to my boat. A very cool place indeed.

So now that you've reneged on your non-promise, lemme ask: Did you ever buy a Hinckley or what? No, not WTF for a change, just what? You're annoying but not annoying enough to quell my interest & curiosity for one of the all-time great classic boats. Oh, and if the answer is yes, please don't hurt me (and others) by telling me you put davits on it.

P.S. You'd better come up with another video or we'll both get "exiled" for going wildly off-topic here.

Bingo! Buy that young man a cigar! Little known fact: The late-'60s "hippy" mentality cruised right into the '70s. Confusion didn't start creeping in till around '81-'86. That's when record store owners started putting Madonna albums in front of Jimi Hendix's "Smash Hits".

I'll think of those icons any way I damn wish, but thanks!

Haha. Thanks! Now it's getting good. Love it!

No, I didn't buy a Hinckley. Although I bow in reverence to the brand, I've moved on to exquisite realism. Now eyeing '58-'64 foot USED Little Harbors.

Thanks for asking and keeping a keen interest in my yachting desires.

So, what was this thread about? Circumnavigation, perhaps? I forget.

Keep on Truckin' !
