Re: Christmas ON Boats

We have had seven Christmases on board now, with this year being the first on the hard.

Lunch was still enjoyed in the cockpit in blazing sunshine with Bing and Kylie crooning carols in the background. A welcome respite from scraping and sanding and polishing :

Merry Christmas everyone

Re: Christmas ON Boats

We are spending the first day without rain in I can't remember how long (7.5" so far in Dec) so I'll take partly cloudy and cold for a change. The long walk with the dog to the top of the dock was a challenge as it was very slippery with frost and my boat shoes are pretty worn. We spent last night with new friends here on the west coast and today have been invited to spend the afternoon with others.

All in all, a different Christmas, not bad at all, just different. Our first Christmas on the boat!

Merry Christmas to all!

Re: Christmas ON Boats

Our first Christmas aboard, our first christmas without snow and our first christmas away from friends and family...

But so far it's been glorious. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and most especially joy and happiness to one and all!

Re: Christmas ON Boats

This SHOULD have been our first christmas on the boat, but we weakened and went visiting family in Colorado for the week.

Not next year, though. Next year I am staying wherever we happen to be when late December rolls around. And it won't be anywhere near an airport. Bah. Humbug.

Re: Christmas ON Boats

I've spent two Christmases aboard https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lady_Washington

Both happened to be in San Pedro, and both were with family and best friends.

Re: Christmas ON Boats

Here's the miniature Christmas tree that we lug around for the kids.

3rd Christmas onboard now. 2015 - Auckland NZ, 2014 - San Blas Islands, 2013 - Martinique

All great for different reasons.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
