Cheoy Lee window pull and reset

I'm looking to possibly buy a 1975 Cheoy lee, single owner boat, for live aboard. The windows are leaking and will need to be pulled and reset. I don't plan on doing it myself, but will have them done by a local boatyard. There's other work needed to be done to her but the cost of resetting of the windows concerns me. I don't want to go down a rathole with a project like this. IDEAS? COMMENTS?

If you can’t do something like this yourself, your going to run down the rabbit hole of spiraling costs.

Re: Cheoy Lee window pull and reset

Hi there Dingfixer!

I am sorry if I am too late to comment and make recommendations, but we actually just refit our cabin sides and refurbished all of our portlights. Just got some rain last week and we no longer have any leaks! I am happy to answer any questions you have regarding portlights and sealants, or you can check out our last video upload which shows exactly how we did it. Check it out on YouTube @SVAvocet. I hope this helps, please feel free to email if you have any questions!

Cheers,
Marissa + Chris
