Re: Chasing Bubbles - documentary

[QUOTE=Tetepare;2224692]Last weekend I met a "cruising" couple who'd quit their jobs and had just completed the very first leg of their adventure- a 74 mile sail. They had never before done anything more than day sailing- as in, not even sailed to the nearest port.

I say go for it. With any luck in a month they'll be in the Carib, while my boat is on the hard and I'm sitting in an office.

I've watched part of the movie and look forward to the rest. Who doesn't love a free sailing video, and one so well produced?[/QUOTE

I could watch the documentary of Drum over and over. YouTube "Drum, the extraordinary journey". Well worth it.

Re: An interesting documnetary thats worth a watch - Chasing Bubbles

I watch these thing with a bit of jealousy. I have always wanted to cut the ties and just go. I am impulsive like that. My husband is ultra responsible. So at 46 I am still waiting for my someday. I take classes, I study am am preparing to leave. I just want it to be tomorrow.

Re: Chasing Bubbles - documentary

I watched Chasing Bubbles tonight, it really hit me with some strong emotion, towards the end I was thinking to myself "Man, this Alex guy sounds pretty cool, I should reach out to him."

Then when I saw that he had died it really shocked me.

The film really moved me.
