No light beer, no fat free anything! Use only butter, bacon, and heavy lager!

Neither here nor there maybe...however...

One of the reasons the Outward Bound thingo was set up in the early 40's was that it had been observed that in extreme conditions ( eg open lifeboat, N Atlantic, Winter ) the fat old pharts were more likely to survive than the skinny young ones.

As they say... 'age and cunning will always beat youth and skill'.....

The discussion reminds me of "the cannibal who passed his friend in the forest."

Coincidence? I don't think so....
So, that's why a case has 24. So many life's questions can be answered here on CF.

Well the simple question was answered but that just leads to the real question:

Which came first the Beer or the Day?

Was the day created so sailors would have time for Beer?

This thread is interesting as it has two distinct parts. One being the preposterous nature of what supposedly happened as the facts just don't add up (hoax), and the other being a philosophical debate about ready or not ( the point of the merge). Now the merge will influence a new direction.
