So I boarded and there is ass loads of deck space and a Chrysler 90 HP on it... The boat is beat up but I want a project. So could you identfy this boat for me

Really? It's abandoned! Who wudda thunk that? I think free might be more than it's worth..... Dont count on the engine being of any value at all, so you'd be getting a hull and cabin, probably mildewed and disgusting...you'd have to pay to tow it or tow it yourself and pay to store it somewhere else and you'd need to haul it out and pressure/power wash it with bleach just to get started and ....and you'd have to re-do pretty much everything and get another engine and rig that engine up...I think there's a reason why it was abandoned.....

Although a diamond in the rough, totally without sails, at least it appears to float. A re-power, paint, and elbow grease. Next stop Gilligans Island.! 😉

Re: Can you help me identfy this boat

Diamond in the rough originally wrote that "its totally without sails" which is why I replied yes-because it's a powerboat. Of course it is a production boat--somebody produced it! Are you asking it it was built by a professional boatbuilder--who knows? You are already getting advice that is trying to warn you away from this--why don't you tell us more about the condition and what it might take to fix her up. One respondent has called it a POS boat which I think is accurate. This boat appears as if it is destined for the dump--but even that will take money to haul her away. Chrysler outboards were never well respected as I recall and they stopped making them.....a long time ago....so if you are ready to pay for a two, haulout, power wash and block and then get into a mildew infested fiberglass box and scrub with bleach and steam before you even look at wiring, plumbing, thru hulls, cabinetry, windows etc etc etc...or you could just take those dollars and that energy and buy an older boat that is at least operable...... my two cents....

Re: Can you help me identfy this boat

I often wonder how many responders have ACTUALLY built a boat bigger than a 4 x 8 punt.

Of this you can be certain, that Chrysler 90 didn't run well the day it was new. Worst outboards ever manufactured.
