Accident at Gold Coast marina last Friday .Ship Little Eagle couldn't stop after side swiping a couple of boats took out a concrete piling connected to floating pontoon with catamaran docked.Pontoon snapped off and Little Eagle came to rest after hitting docked floating office.Very lucky no one was injured,Roy saw the boat approaching and yelled out to everyone to get off their boats .Little Eagle is apparently an ex French Navy vessel approx 100ft and no doubt at least 100 tons .

Luckily didn't do more damage, fair chunk of out of control steel there...

Must cost a small fortune to keep the fuel up to a couple of 3000hp Paxman diesels.....maybe that's what happened, he ran out, no brakes

Wow, I can just imagine being tied to the dock, sipping a cool beverage and seeing that coming at me! Hope the skipper didn't have a serious health issue rendering him incapacitated and more a case of piss poor judgement or some mechanical issue. Very glad no one was hurt.
