Best Sailing channels on You Tube.

Here's a couple of my Fav Channels on Youtube.

These are channels I have subscribed to, They are mix of How to, How I did, and I am doing it vids. There is also a minimum of dolphin vids among these thankfully. (I am soooo over "dolphin on bow wave" videos- thats a rant for another day).

Distant Shores (great general sailing stuff)
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-R...xpXx96KsNVCrDw
Accidental Sailor Girl (in my top 3)
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCL_...kEESj8Vaw-LG0Q
Drake Paragon (def in my top3)
https://www.youtube.com/user/drakeParagon
Life is like sailing (could easily end up in my top 3)
https://www.youtube.com/user/bcsailor2003
White Spot Pirates
https://www.youtube.com/user/WhiteSpotPirates
SV Velocir
https://www.youtube.com/user/svvelocir

Re: Best Sailing channels on You Tube.

I posted this a couple of months ago...

1. Drake Paragon. He's a little wordy, but I love his videos. He just begun a new series about his trip up the east coast, then up to Greenland and Iceland (where he wintered).
https://www.youtube.com/user/drakeParagon/videos

2. Shaun Sailing. A 20-something is following his dream of sailing. He volunteers as crew on a few boats. One goes from Florida to the south pacific islands with a inexperience family. Awesome to watch how they learn and gain experience.
https://www.youtube.com/user/donjobs/videos

3. Cruising LeaLea. A series of a couple that sails from San Francisco to Hawaii and then up to Alaska on a Albin Vega 27. They are a little dorky, but its part of their charm.
https://www.youtube.com/user/vega1860/videos

4. Teleport. A young Australian couple buys a small junk rigged boat in eastern Canada and decides to sail it home. VIA THE NORTHWEST PASSAGE. Seriously.
https://www.youtube.com/user/wwwYachtTeleportCom/videos

5. Untie the lines. A young (and cute) german girl buys an aluminum boat in Panama to follow her dreams. Unfortunately the boat needs more work then she originally thought.

Thanks for posting them again.

Thx for the others will definitely give them a go.

We really like the whitespotpirates (untie the lines) documentary. A roller coaster, then some great beaches and communities.

Best sailing channels/videos on youtube? All the ones that dont have their hand out asking for donation, patrons, sponsors.

You do realize the shear amount of time it takes to produce those videos! One of the youtubers mentioned above told me they average 35 man hours per video. Plus the cost of the resources (cameras, laptops and fuel for power).

Now you may argue that "No one asks them to make those videos". Unfortunately that isn't true. They also shared with me that they get e-mails every week asking when the next video is.

I have no problem with any one of them requesting some support. Its not like any of them are being pushy. You are not obligated to donate anything.

I also am a big fan of Delos' youtube channel.

I put together a playlist of some Pacific crossing videos here, mostly from other people:
