Seriously, I dove in some cold water at the Straights of Mackinac. The wreck Sandusky is about 85' down. Thermoclime is about 65'. Below that you can't tell the boys from the girls. Dry suits would be preferred and there I was with a 7mil wetsuit. I'm a hefty guy - I did OK. My slim son froze. Still a great dive.

No insects after first frost
Snowmobiles
Skiing
Ice Fishing
Sharing body heat - "Tuning Tokyo" game is much more fun
Saunas/Hot tubs with a roll in the snow sometime during
Hot Chocolate or coffee with booze
Sledding behind trucks with rope
Wood fireplaces
Flasks are the norm - guy has to stay warm somehow

The list could go on and on....

Hi....Really want to sail on Lake Superior, September 26th, 2014..will be in Houghton....Heard about Frostbite on 26th. Any place else?? ASA certified through 104, but very little experience..may have to buy a boat!
