I grew up on a farm and raised hogs. ALWAYS keep your wits about you around animals. One of my friends was 200+ pounds and in good condition when a boar knocked him down and was working on having his leg for lunch when his boys heard the yelling and came to his rescue. It took two healthy teenage boys with the separation panels to get him out of the pen. Nasty wounds on his leg took surgery and he limped the rest of his life.

Keep the dinghy moving and kind of do a drive by, throwing the treats away from you. Those pigs are kind of pushy, and look really huge when they swim right up to the dink. They will bump you, and try to climb in. Man, I never saw anyone dressed like that lady, going to pig beach.

Nothing dumber than teasing wild animals into attacking.

Seems the pigs would be better in the oven or the Barbie. Are these vermin protected? My cousins did a circumnavigation a few years ago and the captain & mate managed to harvest a goat somewhere similar. They said it was excellent. Having taken a couple of feral pigs at lake Okeechobee a few years ago I can confirm this was the best way to enjoy the local pigs.

And the thought of being eaten alive by a hog! YUCK!
If I was that farmer, I would make sure that boar became bacon ASAP.

Feral pigs are destructive animals, nature's bull dozers. Had a constant battle with them on our coffee farm. They'd tear up the ground tossing up rocks looking for grubs or whatever in the soil. Played havoc with the mower. They'd usually run away when I'd confront them and throw stones at them. Once had a big hunker that I tried that with and it decided to run towards than away. Luckily the land rover was close, set a new personal best running to jump in the truck to get away.

Feral hogs... Texas has more than any other state and they are such a nuisance that when on private property with the owner's permission they can be "harvested" without a hunting license. And they taste good, too without all those preservatives. Best pork I ever had. If hogs are that much of a nuisance in other places, maybe the local constabulary will look the other way while you collect dinner. So far, I haven't had the nerve to push my luck.

Well, they count your ammo when you check in with firearms in the Bahamas. So, why am I short a couple of rounds? Oh....I shot one of those hogs over there off Big Majors Spot for a little BBQ get together on the beach with some other cruisers. Any problems with that?
