AIS Problem with Horizon GX 2200

Hello,
I have a Brand New Horizon GX2200 VHF radio with GPS and AIS reciever. Antenna and kabel new. Radio works exelent. GPS works perfect, the range for AIS is maximum, but I reciefe no AIS signals.But I See very big ships arround me, See with my eys and in Internet tracker. But not in my radio. I tryed reset but no success. My dealer has no answer.
Plesse who has a idea to solve the Problem? I am now in Montenegro, Here is no service oft Horizon.

And thr next Problem: I try to reset like written in manual 20.2. No success! No settings back to factory settings! Any other trick to reset???

Are you sure it has gps position? It will not show targets without gps. Do you have it hooked to a chart plotter? To view ais on it?

I have the same radio. Works great.

Does it require that you input your MMSI for the AIS to function, and did you do this? It’s been a few years since I set mine up.

Yes, I insert MMSI and GPS works exact.I see my boat in center of AIS pattern, but no other ships. And there a a lot big ships arround.

+1. Have it also hooked up to opencpn for AIS targets and as a 2ndary GPS source if the primary drops out. Works well.

A better way to confirm the GPS is working is to see if it provides lat/Lon numbers.
