I was in your situation eight years ago, but in
Annapolis where there are lots of brokers.
Your
license is a plus but if the one broker is fulll up then your prospects are slim.
As others have noted volunteer work or minimally paid office work can keep you in front of the brokerage, but if they are full, they are full.
You might look at other
boating businesses in your area: yacht
cleaning,
maintenance,
insurance and
financing. Yacht detailing is a nice business that works with brokers to make their yachts look their best for sales appeal. If there isn't someone in the area dedicated to this niche, start your own. Go see all of the brokers and offer your services to their customers. Even if you start with only one job, word will spread.
