Salona 45's Classy not Costly

I've been looking for boats that are safe, roomy and easy to sail. I've got quite an extensive list that seems to only get bigger so lately I've been narrowing it down by price and availability.

Needless to say, the Salona brand keeps rising to the top of the list. With the steel backbone securing the rigging and keel stepped mast, these boats are very solid. Add in a very smart, roomy galley and salon and you've got a very well built blue water sailer.

What I don't understand is how these boats are less than 250k euros New.

What gives? Thanks in advance.

I like that boat too and I agree about the good price. If that is the kind of boat you want I would also look at the Comet 45s and the Grand Soleil 45 and 46.3. they are all very solid boats and have better quality interiors.

They were originally much more expensive than the Salona 45 and that difference has become quite short now.

Two brands I've not even heard of. It's amazing how many companies that make yachts there are. I'll have a few more boats to add to the list now I'm sure.

But thanks for the info. I want a very sturdy boat.
