Sailboat insurance in the Mediterranean.

Anyone has a good insurance to suggest for the Mediterranean, 36' 20 years old sailboat. The Lloyd's program I was insure with is not available anymore.

Pantaenius as long as you are not American.

Topsail out of the UK. They will be MUCH cheaper (and better) than Pantaenius.

Re: Sailboat insurance in the Mediterranean.

Just renewed for 11m cat in med.

Pantaenius offered the best cover which I nearly took but were 10% above.

Topsail gave an extra 10% as I am CA member and this was the deciding factor.

Y insurance were between the 2

Re: Sailboat insurance in the Mediterranean.

We are a USA boat and use IMIS. They really work with us each year on our sailing destinations.

Re: Sailboat insurance in the Mediterranean.

Thanks for the replies! I'll definitely have a look at Topsail next year.

ChuckR, who's your broker? I finally renewed with IMIS, but the program I was insure with last year was cancelled, and it was a pain in the ass to get a new coverage with them, despite the premium was finally very good. I ended up spending few days not to sure if I was covered or not.
