Sail Magazine's Best Boats 2011

Sail Magazine announces their best boats of 2011.

Sail Magazine Announces Best Boats of 2011 | BoatingLocal.com

It doesn't have any impact on me (my boat is a 1972), but I thought it was interesting nonetheless.

Why no heavy displacement full keel gaff riggers?
These guys must not care about safety.
Where are the "blue water" boats?

The presto 30 is a nice boat, Unsuitable for blue water but caught my eye at the show.

1) who said cruising had to be blue water or large? I think its a wonderful boat for what it is - albeit expensive.

2) who trusts ANY sailing magazine's reviews or ratings - by sailing I mean subject. It's all commercial advertising. Next year it will rotate into something else.
