Our Boat Search Continues but questions

So our boat search continues and while I have a checklist of items I would to to have on her I realize the perfect boat is not out there, an least not I n my price range. So rough estimates of what costs would be for the following would be greatly appreciated, at least it would give me an idea of what I'm looking at with my budget. Again ball park figures will be fine.
We will be cruising on her in the Bahamas 6-7 months
Dinghy Davits
Solar Panels
Painting a 37 ft'er
Awl grip decks
Auto Pilot
Wind generator
Bimini/dodger
Cockpit cushions
Thanks

Dinghy Davits 2000
Solar Panels 750
Painting a 37 ft'er 5000
Awl grip decks NO idea but guess 500, get like surfer's pad
Auto Pilot 2500
Wind generator 1500
Bimini/dodger 2000
Cockpit cushions 1500
Thanks
I'll tell you average italian price, made by professional..let's say if you buy online and do it yourself..cut 50%...for example auto pilot would be 1500 euro, but a boatyard could charge even 2500-3000 euro easly...

Re: Our Boat Search Continues but questions

Prices on things like painting, canvas, and cushions can vary a lot by location.
You're in Key West so ask some local trades people about guesstimates.

Also, run by the local West Marine and get a copy of their latest catalog for equipment prices. You can usually find cheaper prices but it's a good starting point. For that matter they're on the internet.
If you do your own research you'll find a lot of extra information along the way, especially if you do it face to face when possible.

Re: Our Boat Search Continues but questions

Re: cockpit cushions. If I am reading your criteria info correctly, did you say you are cruising for 6-7 months only, one time? Or do you mean 6-7 every year?

I ask because I spent $1k re-upholstering existing cockpit cushions on a 28' I had only one yr, a newbie mistake. Where now on a boat much bigger and nicer I just repurpose big household pillows where I added a grommet in the corner to tether it to a lifeline so it doesn't go flying. i mean these are pretty cheap pillows, ive left them out in the sun for days, they lasted two years!!! And for the seat bottoms I repurposed some old marine grade interior back rest cushions. All together, they are way more comfy then thin, hard cockpit style. It is the only mismatched thing onboard. But I put up with it since otherwise it would be $1-$2 boat bucks.

Just thought id throw that out there in case you are on a budget.
