You're not nuts Del. Time is more precious than gold. When it's gone, you can't get it back. You can't save it in a bank account. It sounds like you've planned appropriately. Congratulations and good luck.

Please keep in touch and let us know how it's working out.

Wow! I didn't expect so many replies, and all positive too!
I spent most of my Navy time in the S. Pac. and always planned on going back permanently with an occasional detour.

My immediate family are all older brothers (retired) and their lives seem boring either from bad health or sending emails back and forth of stupid jokes or political junk. Not for me!

Humm! That's not to far from Borocay. I was there a in May of 08. I do plan to sail the Visayas for the most part and the sister-in-law has beach front property on Palawan so may spend some time over there.

And I'll surely take up your offer when I get in that area. Are the Mig's still $P16?

Are you going to Sucia I.? I need to brake-in this new motor, so that trip is on the agenda.

Its hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys.

Ain't it amazing how the 'normal' folks try to hold people back from cruising!

Just keep working a little longer........ and longer.... just till you can't go live a wonderful life...

Congratulations!!!!!!!! Its a wonderfull life!!

Yes! You ARE nuts! At least you are to those who can't imagine getting off the treadmill until their "official retirement age" whatever that is.

Good on ya! I was going to say that maybe you should have left earlier, but it actually sounds like you have left at the right time for you.

Fair Winds,
Mike
