Listed Price, Version 2 Million

You know I just can not get over the way a boat's price gets listed by brokers! I asked a question via email the other day on a boat that is listed for $109k and fairly recently listed. At first got no response to my questions, so I sent another email. Got an answer with the broker suggesting I make an offer of $85k! And they wonder why buyers don't believe anything they as far as a boats "value".

It's hard to generalize accurately about anything including this. All I can say is that when I listed our boat with a broker, we both did a pretty thorough search of actual selling prices as well as current asking prices in order to set what we both agreed was a market value. Some sellers and/or brokers are aggressive, some are not motivated and some try to be objective.

I called a broker out of the country yesterday on a new listing. A woman answered, I told her I was interested in the boat, and she began speaking spanish to a man whom I assume is the broker. Hablo espanol (I speak spanish). Well, she didnt bother to cup the phone or hide their conversation and I learned alot. The mechanic has not arrived yet to give the estimate to fix the motor and the boat has still not dried out. The man asked her to get my name and number and then call the mechanic. I hung up before she had a chance.
