Welcome aboard! Good idea to read the whole thread. There is no minimum length for liveaboard in California law. Many marinas do have a minimum, some do not. Most marinas are private businesses, they can make almost any rules they want. But to say that there's any particular minimum length "in Cali" is just fiction.
