Thanks to everyone who's replied to this through the years. I've just recently purchased a 1979 Mason 43 and have been really happy with the purchase. My budget went up as we saved more money. We got it in the low 80's which will become 90's and 100's before we leave but we're happy! My wife told me she didn't want to camp for a 5 years so this has worked out perfectly.
