Franklin- You might try getting a Google Voice number, free for any Google account. That will accept SMS and text mesages and has an incredible number of options, you can set it to forward to any other phone, to multiple phones, or forward to an email account, so there are multiple ways to get notifications from it.

The US banks have ALL gone crazy, possibly because of Dodd-Frank after the 2008 crashes, even though that's partly repealed now. They're very quick to complicate and cut off online access--and not very good at real online security or disability access at all.

Wells has made the nooze too often for outright criminal activities, I wouldn't want to use them.

Google does internally "read" and datamine all emails and calls, by the way. But I don't think that would affect your account security when passcodes were being sent to you.
