Bahamas Insurance

does anyone know if it is possible to get cruising insurance for the Bahamas for only 2-3 months? Thanks

Two places I'd call to check with are Boat US and IMIS.

For me, the difference between U.S. and U.S & Bahamas was only about a 100/year difference.

I sail in the Chesapeake Bay, but spend a month or two in the Bahamas when I can. When I leave, my insurance agent changes my policy to reflect coverage in the islands and I pay the extra premium. When I return, I cancel that policy and revert back to bay-only and receive a premium credit. Works nicely. There may be other insurers that will provide a rider for a specific time.
