We are kind of in the same boat so to speak, and are insured with Edward William. They will insure just about anything. We have been with them for 5 years, very easy and all done online. No requirement for a survey
. Wouldn't like to try and make a claim with them, but fits the needs of having to have that little piece of paper if using a marina.
We know a LOT of people that use them. All our yachts are in great condition, but we got sick of being told all sorts of bulls$&t about why they no Aussie company insure us.
thing is though, mine is a professionally built 1985 ferro
that looks just as good as the day it left for its circumnavigation
in 1986, yet no one in Australia
would touch us even with a survey
But Club Marine
had insured an older timber yacht that I know of that couldn't be left for longer than 2 hours by the owner or it would sink!!
I just laughed and felt a lot better about not giving my hard earned money
