Well we sold a 5 bedroom, 3 bath house in San Diego and purchased a boat for well under 200k and I can tell you that our property taxes on the boat are higher than they were on our large house. We can all thank prop 13 for the fact that many home owners in california are paying well below the value of there home in property taxes....not boat owners.
I personally think I pay plenty of property taxes on our boat and think the idea of raising them even higher ridiculous.
