Annapolis hotels

I'm heading to Annapolis to have a look at a boat and I'm wondering if any of you have a hotel to recommend. I'd rather put the money into the boat than the rent.

And if it was dog-sneakable that'd be even better...

Re: Annapolis hotels

Check this out: The Guest House. Hartge Yacht Harbor in Galesville, Maryland, United States - Guest House 20 min. drive from Annapolis. Very friendly people. And they LOVE dogs!!

Re: Annapolis hotels

The Townplace Suites in Bowie is pretty cheap as far as chain hotels go but still nice. This is one of the cheapest hotels within the area. Its a 20-25 minutes drive from pretty much all the boat yards and downtown Annapolis.

The biggest problem is getting a room at all... with the Naval Academy Fall session in swing, plus all the games, it's often hard to get a room.

I'm with zboss about Townplace Suites in Bowie. Been there. Nice place.

And don't forget about the upcoming boat show, that already has the town gearing up. They float and haul the 1.5 miles of floating docks from my marina and they have been at it for the past two weeks...

I would recommend that you check Priceline.com for hotels/motels in the area if you're keen on saving money, although a Hartge in Galesville is probably not a bad option. Better yet, ask the selling broker to put you up.

Re: Annapolis hotels

If you want something closer to the action, consider O'Callaghans on West St. It's usually the cheapest downtown.

Re: Annapolis hotels

Hotels.com is also a good site to locate reasonable places to stay. We like springhill suites
