From what I hear on you're 46th birthday, you're allowed to switch over to the -5 rule.

The problem with one of that age is that the possibility of Children again. I know of a few people past retirement age, who have had to sell up their boat and go back ashore to earn enough money to keep the anklebiter.

Late forties would be fine by me!

Talk about thread drift.

We had a secretary in Japan in her early 30's. She was nice and not ugly but never married and no prospects.

One of the Engineers explained that Japanese women are like Christmas cards. No good after the 25th. Not very nice.

Rich and poor are relative. I know people with very little that are extremely happy and I know people that in theory have a lot and are miserable.

You gotta wonder if debt or love is the biggest cause of misery on the planet...

Yeah, I agree. I'm 49 and Nicolle is 26. Thats the perfect age difference.
As for kids we have carefully discussed it: She can have a life where she never works, or she can have kids and go back to work for the rest of her life. The decision is hers as I know what I am doing.

That's funny, you don't look 10

But if you are, you shouldn't have been offended in the first place, because if that's the case, you really can't argue that you probably at least have Cooties

You misread that, though. You need to read further up in the thread to understand.

If your age = x
What is (x - 5) x 2?

We've got a whole raft of em here in the UK, but it'd be too long a post to list them.

Anyway, to return to the thread (!), I do rather like the 50%+5 rule - It fits exactly the age of the boat I am getting. And it is the filthy rich who get all the young ones.
