Alternative Energy Tax Credit

Hello,

Has anyone claimed an alternative energy tax credit for installation of solar, wind, and batteries on their boat, as a 2nd home?

Re: Alternative Energy Tax Credit

I forget what I qualified stuff under and if was IRS or California (or both), but somwhere around 2009-ish Obama (the guy everyone loves to hate) had some wording in there that allowed not just solar panels and wind generators, but also caulking (I have teak decks!), insulation (engine room counts), and other such stuff.

I forget what was a credit and what was a deduction, but it was a couple grand. Didn't think to do the batteries though.
