oh we do cash accounting so we purchased tickets to usa in 2013 but will use in 2014, we made a marina reservation back here in port yasmine in 2013 and had to pay part of the cost so it is also in 2013 -

re: 5 Years of Cost Data -

So it looks like about $253 a month for food and $149 a month for eating out. Not bad. Everything else sure adds up though....
Boat supplies , repairs, upgrades etc.. $863 a month!

Thanks, chuck!

Here's a plain tab delimited text version for those who have unco-operative silicon critters plaguing them. Not too pretty--but portable.

P.S.-Mark, there are XLS viewers, free viewers, for pretty much everything these says. Free on the PC and Android, and certainly must be for the iOS as well by now. XLS is a world standard, even Apple can't ignore that.

Apple ignors Flash, too.

No one ever believes this till they go cruising long term, long range.
Its the reason why cruising on $500 per month threads are just so infantile. Unless one buys a pile of sinking junk and then lets it sink, the long term average of $863 aint too bad incl upgrades.

Well, Flash has never been necessary for anything, except promoting security flaws from Adobe. And Adobe and Apple have been bitter enemies since the 1980's.

re: 5 Years of Cost Data -

Interesting....

Thanks for sharing but would like to understand your categories better. Boat Parts, Boat Supplies, Boat Repairs for instance.

Also what did you upgrade, change etc that resulted in over $22K expenses on the boat in 2010?

Why were the dockage fees so much in 2013? You seemed to anchor out a lot judging by the majority of your dockage fee, but this one seems high. Was it due to the location, or something else?

Thanks,
Guy
:-)

hope this helps

Thanks for sharing but would like to understand your categories better. Boat Parts, Boat Supplies, Boat Repairs for instance.

boat parts and stuff i by for the boat that are put on the boat like head parts, lights ect
boat supplies are things like sikaflex, 5200 - disposable stuff
boat repairs are where i hired someone to help me make repairs of i had repairs done - torn sail, reseat windows ect

Also what did you upgrade, change etc that resulted in over $22K expenses on the boat in 2010?

we spent a bunch in 2010 - after spending 2 seasons in the bahamas we knew what we needed for us if we were to go longer distances - we added a 50gal fuel tank, water maker, a 3rd solar panel and a few other items - equipped the boat for long journeys after we had used her and knew what we wanted in a boat

yea we anchor if at all possible except in trini for hurricane season and the admiral wanted a nice place for 6 months -- the rest of 2013 is in the med -- we spent a lot at lagos portugal when we went in and stayed there to travel inland - also included in 2013 is a partial payment for 2014 dockage in tunisia as we made our reservation and had to make a partial payment and did that in 2013 - it will be interesting to see how much dockage will be in the med as we are headed to italy and coatia and albania this summer -
