What's the 'Best Cruisers Fishing How-to' Book ?

Amazon lists "The Cruisers Handbook To Fishing" ... a quick glace of what I could see looks like it was focused on Pacific... I will spend most time in Atlantic, North Sea and Med... not sure that makes a difference... looking for guidance on tackle/lures/processing etc... I use to do some fishing in Canada lakes, but that was a long time ago... Thanks for any suggested reading...

This is a really good book and can apply to any waters. I have fished for 35 years in the ocean and have learned a few things from this book. Fishing is my passion.

My one criticism of that book is that he recommends tackle that is too heavy. Sure, you don't want to lose big fish, but do you really want some huge toothy critter flopping around in your cockpit?

I use 40 lb test, at most. If I can't land the fish on that, I don't want it. However, the book's advice on lures and tackle is excellent.
