JOTD: channels
Noun: plural of channel:
  1. a navigable waterway part of a river, canal, bar, bay, or any shallow body of water.
  2. a narrow body of water between two land masses.
Noun: always plural:
  1. ledges built out from the topsides of a hull to increase the spread of shrouds.

Anyone have something to add to these?
