Help finding a particular book

When I was in college, an alum donated a collection of salty old sea stories to our library. One of my favorites was about a man who rowed solo across the Atlantic in an open custom built boat. I don't remember the author, title or anything that has been specific enough for me to find it again. I want to say it was called Brittania, or something similar, but I can't be sure.

Anybody else have a slightly less foggy idea of what I'm talking about?? haha

Re: Help finding a particular book

Perhaps it was: Alone At Sea by Hannes Lindermann

Re: Help finding a particular book

In the late sixties, John Fairfax rowed across the Atlantic in a boat called "Britannia". Not sure about the book.

Y'know, I've done that a few times before, and I didn't find what I was looking for. Today? It pops right up on the first page of results.

Mystery solved!
