Gregor Tarjan Books - Clarification needed please

From what I can see there are two books published:
CATAMARANS The complete guide for cruising sailors.......and
CATAMARANS - Every sailor's guide

Can somebody please clarify if these are basically the same book with different titles and which one would you most recommend purchasing.

Although they have different page counts, they appear to be (at least) similar books published by Chiodi Advertising & Publishing (278 pages, Sept. 2006), then International Marine/Ragged Mountain Press (304 pages, Sept. 2007).

You might ask the author:

I know Gregor, in fact he was the selling broker when I purchased my Cat in the BVI's. Send him a note and ask, he is a great guy. info@aeroyacht.com Tell him i said hello

I have both and it seems that when he sold the rights to the new publisher that some additions and changes were made

Actually, I know this one because I had the two side-by-side when I was buying it. The book published by International Marine is a second edition that contains minor updates/revisions. The biggest difference is that the IM-published second edition is significantly lower in price than the Chiodi-published first edition (or was when I bought it). Don't know why, and didn't care! It is a very good book.

Hey guys I received a reply from Gregor Tarjan. He said that both editions are virtually identical and that he preferred the 1st one only because it had a higher quality paper and printing so that would explain the price difference.

Steve, we spent four days cruising on a Bahia last month as it is on our short list of preferred boat models. We are happy to say that a Bahia is still on our short list as we were very impressed with her.

Glad you hooked up with Gregor.........great book! If you are researching Cat's may i suggest Multi hull Magazine. I have found a lot of helpful information from them.

Thanks, yes our lounge room table is almost collapsing under the weight of magazines. We subscribe to two and pick up anything else that we see at the newsagency that looks interesting. Add to that Gregor's book and well..........poor coffee table.
