I see you have a feed and an email subscription - that's really nice. We added the email subscription not too long ago because it made life easier for those who DON'T use a feed reader but still want to be notified when we update (like my folks).

I recently stumbled onto Honeymoon's blog while googling for info on transiting the Panama Canal. The write-up and video of their transit is fun and full of useful stuff, and it enticed me into the rest of their postings. Their voyage ended in Australia two months ago, but their blog is intact. One of my favorite blogs is S/V Totem Family .
Mainly because we know them and had a great time with them recently in La Cruz before they left for the Marquesas. They left just a couple of days ago on their Stevens 47 with their three kids.
Perhaps it is not as exciting or as technical as some blogs - but it makes a big difference if you know them

These guys seem to have the spirit down... The captain (a young guy) originally took charge of an abandoned 52 foot steel hull (homebuild) for free, in Hong Kong, fixed it up for a year or two, and has been sailing the world since, taking one crew as he goes. One or two permanent, and the rest transients... He says he never plans to stop cruising...

As a note for folks thinking of setting up a blog, its quite easy to make a website instead.
you get more flexibility, more space for photos and videos.

You can make some parts password protected so only family can read things. You can add interactive maps.
And you can have your own domain name and all the email addresses you want with that domain name.

It isn't too hard, but the first learning how to do it is a bit of a brain teaser... and, hey, what else is there to do all day while cruising?

[Edit] Thinking about it, its a good thing to do before you head off, or when you do have a bit of time to play around, and have a good internet conection.

This thread is very old, but I'd love for fellow cruisers to know about my website. We've been cruising Mexico for 3 years and have spent a lot of time in places many cruisers don't get to.

We're a family who are cruising the Med on a Dean 365 catamaran. My 10-year old son Aidan is blogging about his adventures, and I'd love to connect him with other kids on boats. Aidan's blog is My Voyage in Med | All my pros and cons of the med.

I don't really want him corresponding with adults he doesn't know (obviously), but perhaps your kids could write back to Aidan, or share their posts with him.
