Apologies

I just want to apologize for my last post. I unknowingly went against the rules and posted a thread with commercial interests. I joined this forum in 2007 and probably didn't read the rules of conduct back then either. I also removed the link to my site in my signature. I truly just wanted to get your impressions on the site so I could improve it. I guess it's going to have to be one of those best kept secrets.

You may now throw the rotten tomatoes but please try not to hit my boat! Hope I didn't offend anyone.

Whatever it was, I missed it.

But except for that, I haven't screwed up all year!

Damn. I keep missing the drama! Nonetheless, rest assured I took deep offense at all your trespasses.

Thanks for the link. I just added it to my favorites. It is good to have an alternate to Amazon which I hate.

In my favorites.... Perhaps there should be a sub clause to the rule that allows "cool, useful and morally upstanding" commercial content to be posted....

In my favorites as well. I'm sure you can post it in the Vendor threads.

There's a Vendor thread? I'll look it up thanks.

I don't want to compete with this site in any way but rather be a part of the community and the solution. I'm both a sailor and a computer programmer/consultant (hey gotta pay for that boat somehow). The resulting site is a mix of both my passions. I came up with software that lets me aggregate many book sources and get specific titles at the best possible price. I am quite active on my Catalina 25/250 forums where I am listed under my own name. You can look me up at Association Forum. The way I see it is that I am providing a specialized sailing bookstore to real sailors from a real sailor.

Thanks for all the great feedback and warm comments, I really appreciate it!

Vida, member since '07 and only 07 posts? (04 before this thread)???? Glad to see you've contributed to the forum before you had a website.

Anyways, less pics of your mug and more pics of the boat, eh?

Cheers

Bill
