Wind scoop / hatch cover

Hello, I am Mike June. I have a 1977 Irwin CC and a 1978Tiara 2500. And I have a custom marine canvas shop near Port Huron Michigan.

As a result of my experience as both a Sailor/Cruiser and Power boater I have tried to build a better mouse trap for a hatch cover / wind scoop.

HatchMate -

It includes dorade design to withstand water leaks even in heavy rain and spray while allowing airflow through your hatches. It has been well received since its inception.

If there is enough demand I may offer DIY kits as I have been a DIY cruiser for years and appreciate the independent spirit of our type.

While not cheap, it is because it is designed to remain "up" in all weather all season long for years except when traveling. It is manufactured from the same materials as our boat and yacht tops using the same lifetime materials like PTFE rot proof thread and the best marine fabrics.

Thanks for taking the time to look.

Mike
