Cruisers Forum is cognizant of the reality that our members are the very people
marine industry professionals want and need to make aware of their products and services. We know, as well, that our members also want to be kept abreast of the products and services that
marine industry professionals provide.
For that reason, we have made available to those with
commercial interests related to the subject of Cruisers Forum - sailing and cruising - this
Commercial Posts Forum. Those members with a
commercial interest that is on-topic to Cruisers Forum and who post elsewhere on Cruisers Forum about the products and / or services they wish to bring to the attention of the general membership will have their posts moved into the Commercial Posts Forum by a
member of the site staff.
Our members deserve to know the commercial interest of another
member who is deemed to be a
marine industry professional. For that reason, we change the user group of those posting commercial content on Cruisers Forum to Commercial
Member. This will serve to let other members better judge the content of those who have a professional stake in the marine industry. At the same time, it serves to make readers aware that a member is a marine industry "insider" and may, therefore, possess credibility beyond that of the average member.
In the Commercial Posts Forum, Commercial Members are free to start threads about their company, product(s) and / or service(s). They
may not, however, include links to any of these, either in the body of their post or in their signature. Links in Commercial Members' posts will be deleted without notice. If a Commercial Member would like to include links to his product or service, he or she must first upgrade to Supporting Vendor.
In addition to being able to provide links to a commercial enterprise in his or her signature, a Supporting Vendor may also have an image in that signature. And, while the posts in the Commercial Posts Forum placed by Commercial Members who choose not to upgrade to Supporting Vendor
will not appear on the Portal Page or in New Posts, those of Supporting Vendors will. We may also, at our discretion, showcase the posts of Supporting Vendors in other ways to be determined.
Those who would like to discuss these guidelines further, including the option of upgrading to Supporting Vendor, should contact the Commercial Content Admin through the help desk
Contact Us. You must be logged in to use the Cruisers Forum PM system.
