yacht transport in the North East

Did anybody have resent experience with road transport in the North East? Looking at a 40ft in Lake Champlain while we are in sag harbour and checking if it is in any way competitive to motoring down the Hudson.... Thnx, ari

Depends on what you mean by "competitive"?

I would say it will be in the neighborhood of $3.5-5k to truck it, but that can vary significantly based on 1) your flexibility with respect to timing and 2) the packed height of your boat.
