It was
portlights, not pilot house windows, but I had to do that last year. A fellow who works around the marina had a good reputation, so I got him to do the
work at the
dock.
It's a nasty job. He did it, though. Insisted on using Sika, which he said is what the manufacturers use.
There's no reason but convenience for your window people to want the boat pulled. It may be, however, that the cost of going back and forth to your
dock carrying all their
gear and supplies with them is higher than the cost of the haulout. The only way you can find out is to talk with some others who can do the
work, and see what offers you get.
