Where to go in Key West to fix our B&G Radar?

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen of the forum!

I lay this little problem before you, hoping for some local know how, experiences and hints so that we need not 'reinvent the wheel' once we arrive in Key West with our boat later this year.

We have a Lagoon 42 and the 4G Broadband radar connected to our Zeus2 Chart plotter, just quit on us...from one day to next. After troubleshooting, Navico are now sticking to their warranty liability, and would prefer that we go somewhere in Florida to fix the radarproblem.

We prefer Key West as we are planning to do some extensive cruising in Cuba, and it is (almost) on our way from the Rio Dulce where to boat is now.

Any information and experiences you might share with us would be appreciated but here are some of my concerns;

- Quality work. I have West Marine and Accurate Electronics from the Simrad site. Does any one have some feedback regarding them?

- Ease of access for our boat, any marinas that are near these guys or do they have their own docks for the work required?

- Neighbourhood concerns? Noisy surroundings? Safety issues? mv.

Thank you all in advance...

West Marine is a chain of retail stores. They sell marine electronics, however, I've never seen a West Marine that offer installation services.
