Surveyor in San Diego

Does anyone have recommendations for a surveyor in San Diego? I'm closing in on a price for a cruiser. Blue water experience would be a plus.

We just had a survey done by Kells Christian. http://www.themarinesurveyors.com/ He was very through, knowledgeable, and very good at answering questions. I would highly recommend him.

We had ours done by Earl Stell. He came along for the sea-trial meaning that we needed less time for the haul out and he had a chance to test some systems underway.

Haul out was at "The Marine Group" Chula Vista and they were friendly and professional including a hose down of the hull being thrown in.

Kells did ours as well. Same deal: highly recommended. If you need a good broker for anything (he was formerly a rigger), lookup Joe Thomas at H&S Yachts.

Christian and Company

I work at the Shelter Island Boat yard. The two outfits we use are Christian and Company Marine Surveyers 1800-944-4789. As well as Todd and Associates 619-226-1895.

Best of luck.
